Why change your oil at 3000, 5000 or 7500 miles. It's Not Necesary or Practical. Amsoil keeps the money in your pocket!

Let's talk about the infamous 3000 mile oil change.  This was the oil change interval back when car manufacturers recommended straight 30W or 40W oils.  Some of you might remember this. Now, a multi-grade oil like 5w30, 5w40 or 15w40 to name a few are the recommended oils. Along with the addition of turbo chargers, a lot more horsepower and the ability to tow larger payloads, engines, transmissions and drive train components create much more heat. Our synthetic oils, transmission fluids and gear lubes are the answer to this increasingly growing problem. Our products cost much less,  last much longer and allow you to spend more time doing whatever you like. These same manufacturers are building cars and trucks from the factory with synthetic oil in the engine and rear end.  Today, a 3000 mile oil change with regular petroleum oil is certainly impractical.

I'm sure you already know this. But, maybe not ... Shortly after Amsoil created the 25,000 mile one year oil in 1972, Mobil Oil jumped on board with their own extended drain interval synthetic oil but soon stopped marketing and discontinued offering it. Here is their way of thinking.
